

Summertime fun and learning - Open to all children between the ages of 18 months and under 6 years old. If you are curious about Montessori for your child, this is a great opportunity to learn more while your child has a great time! Games, singing, outside time, activities, circle time, art projects, science, books and stories, and writing are part of each session. Friday will be a cumulative project and a chance for parents to see work from week. Snack is provided.
Learning objective: To expose children to living plants and to learn about what they need to grow.
Curriculum: Children will have opportunities to plant and tend, seeds, vegetables, and flowers. Experiments will be conducted to learn why they need water, soil and sun and the opportunity to write and draw their predictions. Learning the different groups of vegetables as well as nutrient content through hands on activities. We will explore the many different types of vegetables and flowers through art activities, books and songs. Children will also help prepare and eat vegetables.
Learning objectives: To expose children to instrument families and various types of music created with these instruments.
Curriculum: Children will learn the different families of instruments, listen to music and try to identify instruments they hear. They will be exposed to a variety of music and participate in singing and movement with a variety of music including children’s, classical, pop and music from different cultures.
We will learn about different types of instruments through hands on experiences with real instruments as well as making some of their own. Children will help create a musical “piece” for our outside area as well as create art through music.
Learning objectives: To expose children to the vastness of space and to the land and water on our earth.
Curriculum: From the Earth to the Stars! We will learn about the different types of land formations and bodies of water through pictures, books, art and hands on activities. Includes the seven continents and the oceans. Through songs, special materials and art projects, children will learn about the solar system, Milky Way, universe and the moon, suns, stars and constellations.
Learning objective: To learn all about a variety of types of animals from all different parts of the world.
Curriculum: Children will learn all about mammals, reptiles, amphibians, nocturnal animals, and marsupials. We will talk about their habitats, home, foods, babies etc… through books, life cycle sequencing and matching work, songs, art and hands on activities. They will be exposed to familiar animals as well as learn about unique and unusual ones.
Learning objective: To expose children to living things they are surrounded by in nature every day.
Curriculum: Children will take a look at moss, lichen, grass, types of trees, leaves, bark, rocks and minerals .They will explore the similarities and differences, textures , types and names. We will also talk about deciduous trees, including fruit trees and conifers, leaves and pine cones. All this will be experienced through hands on activities including art, books and matching work.
Learning objective: To help children learn all about food and creating “dishes” through recipes.
Curriculum: Children will be involved through hands on activities, books and art that expose them the food groups and help them learn about nutrient content of different foods. Children will have the opportunity to choose and follow recipes (reading, writing and math) as well as write recipes. The will be exposed to the nomenclature for utensils and kitchen tools and will experience “fine dining’ through the etiquette of eating their prepared food!
Learning objective: To expose children to a variety of art and artists through books and pictures depicting their work in different era’s of style.
Curriculum: Children will be exposed to children’s illustrators as well as famous artists and create their own masterpieces through various mediums including print, paint, collage and chalk as they learn about line, color and technique. Through the use of Montessori endorsed art curriculum “child size Masterpieces” children will also learn and appreciate art through matching, pairing, sorting and sequencing.

Curriculum: This is the second part of the gardening curriculum where children have opportunity to continue to tend, vegetables, and flowers as well as reap the harvest. We will explore the similarities and differences between vegetables and flowers through art activities, books and songs. Children will also help prepare and eat vegetables.

Children will learn about the colors of nature as well as the many different shades of secondary colors. They will partake in colorful food for snack.

Preschool sessions available
Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 2:30pm
Toddler sessions available Monday - Wednesday, 9:30am - 12:30pm. There is a one-time $15 registration fee. We offer a 15% sibling discount on the lower tuition. We also offer 8:00am early drop-off for $10 per day. A 50% deposit is due with registration and the balance is due at the beginning of each week.
